Ever since I returned from Moscow, life is a full court press. Mission League field agents are everywhere. All the time. Watching. Waiting for me to fulfill a sixty-year-old prophecy. When some baddies try to guy-nap me, the field agents threaten to move me and Grandma Alice to some random hick town, to give us new fake identities until the prophecy is fulfilled.
Not going to happen.
I've got one chance to stay in Pilot Point. I have to prove to the agents that I can stay safe. Have to make this work. For basketball. For Kip. For Beth.
So, bring it, baddies. It’s game on.

Two Thumbs Up!
By Chris Kolmorgen
This novella takes place after the happenings of The New Recruit, with Spencer Garmond slipping back into his old life and finding that it isn't so easy for things to go back to normal. For one thing, he's got secret agent bodyguards all around him, keeping watch. For another, creepy people keep trying to kidnap him. Spencer gets scared when the Mission League threatens to relocate him to somewhere safe. He doesn't want to lose his friends or his shot at being the star basketball player on his high school team. So it's up to him to prove he can stay safe and keep his nose out of trouble.
What a great story! I really enjoyed how Jill threaded together normal teenage plots with her secret agent story. You've got Spencer worrying about the school dance on one page, and trying to avoid getting kidnapped on the next. It was really fun, and the action/sports scenes were especially well-written. I can't wait to read The Mission League Book #2. This enovella really whet my appetite for it. And how awesome is it that all the proceeds are going to a charity?!
Two thumbs up.

Ah-ma-zing.
By Zach and Beth
Chokepoint was a great story! Not only did it give us something to chew on after the end of New Recruit, but we learned lots about the characters in just this little novella. The action was high throughout the whole story, and I was engrossed, finishing it in less then a day. Ms. Williamson has done a fantastic job, and I look forward to reading more of her work in the future.
Another thing that I love about this book, is that it's helping a young girl find her home, raising money for her adoption. The Bible says to take care of the widows and orphans, and I think it's wonderful that the author is not keeping any profit from this project, and all the others who have donated their time at no cost, or a reduced cost to make this story happen.
Once again, it was a great story, and I'm so glad I was able to read it.

More Please!
By Gillian
Jill Williamson has done it again! And just in time too. Since finishing The New Recruit, I've been eagerly awaiting the release of the next book in the Mission League series, and Chokepoint was the perfect thing to tide me over until book two comes out.
In Chokepoint, Spencer Garmond is back from Russia and trying to resume life as normal. But how normal can life be when he's got undercover bodyguards following him around, bad guys trying to nab him, and someone betraying him? When the Mission League starts talking relocation to keep him safe, Spencer is worried life won't ever be normal again, unless he can figure out a way to stay "safe"...and find the traitor of course.
Plenty of action (kidnappers!), excitement (basketball!) and the usual teenage stuff (like worrying who to take to Homecoming!) make this a book well worth reading. And in addition, 100% of the proceeds fund the adoption of a little girl from Eastern Europe! How cool is that?
Chokepoint left me even more excited about the Mission League Series and all I can say is, "More please!"
